Tasting Queens Market Recipes: Crispy Fried Fish
2lbs Fish filets (we used Red Snapper)
2 tsps TQM Fish Spice
1 cup TQM All Purpose Seasoned Fry Batter Mix
3 cups Vegetable Oil
Pat dry filets with paper towel. Season evenly with TQM Fish Spice. Refrigerate for 15 minutes to allow fish to marinate.
Remove from refrigerator and let sit on counter for 5 minutes to reduce temperature. Coat each piece of fish with TQM All Purpose Seasoned Fry Batter Mix and set aside. Heat oil to 350. Dip each piece of fish in the remaining batter again, lightly shaking off excess and place in hot oil skin side down. Fry for approximately 3 minutes on each side or until crisp and golden brown. Repeat process until all pieces are fried.
Place fried fish on paper towel lined container to drain excess oil.
Serve with your favorite condiment. We served our Fried Red Snapper with TQM Firecracker Pepper Sauce.
